Director of Tennis

1990 U.S. Open Women’s Singles Champion Gabriela Sabatini once said, “I never thought tennis was going to give me so much satisfaction.” It could be said that Aaron Koch echoes that sentiment. Aaron was born on May 10, 1976 in the small town of Escanaba, Michigan. Born a twin, Aaron was oldest child of 5 boys. He spent his youth maintaining outdoor clay courts at the local tennis club in order to earn money for lessons. His dedication to the game of tennis continued through his high school years and into college where he played number one singles for Heidelberg College. During the four years of his eligibility, Aaron had a singles record of 50-11, a doubles record of 36-21, was named Most Valuable Player for his team and won the Ohio Athletic Conferences Singles Championships twice. After college, Aaron won the USTA Midwest Clay Court Championships in singles and doubles four times. In 1999, Aaron became a USPTA Certified professional. His first year as a Pro, he won the USPTA Fay Tooley award. In 2004, Aaron was named the Ohio Tennis Professional of the Year. For Aaron, tennis is more than a job; it’s a passion, one that he hopes to inspire in his pupils. Besides teaching clinics and private lessons daily, Aaron serves as the head boys and girls tennis coach for Union-Scioto High School and as the Head Coach of the 14 and under Junior Davis/Wrightman Cup. He is also the Director of Tennis at the Chillicothe Fitness & Racquet Club, Director of the Columbus Area Training Center and the Midwest Zonal Head Coach for Florida, Missouri, and Tennessee. In the 15 years that he has been a USPTA Pro, Aaron has sent 30 kids to the Ohio High School Athletic Association State Tennis Tournament, and over one hundered seventy-five students to play college tennis.
Rosey Hooton Rosey Hooton
Fitness and Wellness Director

ACE Certified Personal Trainer since February 2007. CPR / AED Certified. Dietetic Technician, Registered. Associate Degree in Dietetics from Sinclair Community College. Credentialed by the Commission on Dietetic Registration. Member of the American Dietetic Association. I personally enjoy all types of exercise and have tried many different things over the years but running is my constant. I have competed in several races from 5k’s to marathons and several sprint triathlons. I believe each type of exercise has its benefits if done correctly and the exercises that will benefit us the most are the ones that we are willing to stick to on a regular basis. Whether we enjoy heavy weight lifting, aerobic classes, Crossfit, running, biking, tennis, yoga, high intensity or low intensity we should always include some degree of cardio, strength, flexibility and core training into our fitness regimen to keep our bodies well balanced, help prevent injuries, and remain functional in our everyday lives. I also believe that proper nutrition and exercise are a powerful combination and exactly what we need to achieve our goals whether we are trying to lose weight, increase muscle, get faster, stronger, or just be healthier. I am here to help each individual reach their personal fitness goals using the right combination of nutrition and exercise. I don’t buy into fad diets or quick fixes and I haven’t heard an excuse that I can’t bust. I believe it takes hard work, effort and discipline which will also carry over and enhance other parts of our lives as well. We all have it in us.
Misty Allen Misty Allen
Personal Trainer

NASM Certified Personal Trainer since 2000. CPR / AED certified. Specializing in pre-surgery and post-rehab training as well as Parkinsons specific training. Other avenues of experience include strength, flexibility, endurance and injury prevention focusing on core strength as the foundation of all exercise routines. As a former bodybuilder I know that everyone wants to look good, but we also want to feel good in the process. The stronger our core is the better protection we have from injury, like a built-in weight / seat belt. My philosophy is making your time count, rather than counting your time at the gym.
